KS2 Valentine Disco

194 children attended the KS2 Valentine disco, there was lots of dancing, jumping about and sweating! Over 380 drinks were sold and lots of sweets and crisps. All proceeds go to Roger's chosen charity  - Phab Kids, thank you very much for supporting this worthy cause.

The Lions - We have become archaeologists!

3KW spent an exciting afternoon learning all about the Maya civilisation, as they became archaeologists for the day. An unexpected delivery from Central America arrived this morning containing some incredible Mayan artefacts! After some careful excavating, Year 3 used their knowledge and expertise  to decide what the items were and how they may have been used in the past. A fabulous afternoon was had by all and some amazing ideas were shared!

- Photos to follow!

Year 2 - The Koalas turn into Magicians!

The Koala Class really enjoyed reading their new book in Literacy this morning - The Magic Smell.  As part of our learning about our book, we then became magicians in literacy, first watching Miss Masters perform tricks, leading to the children doing the magic themselves!
We can't wait to start writing about the Magic Show in the book!  We now know plenty of tricks to include!

Year 2 - The Koalas

The Koalas Class in Year 2 have been really looking forward to their Valentine's Disco tonight, and all looked wonderful in their red and pink clothes.

As part of our RE learning, this afternoon we have read stories from the Bible showing love from different characters, and then discussed our Christian Value of love and what this means.  The children shared some lovely ideas, and all wrote a message to someone in the class to show their love to their friends.

The Koalas Class Assembly

Last Wednesday the Koalas performed their Class Assembly.  They did a fantastic job at sharing all of the wonderful work they have been doing in their topic this half term:  Frankenstein and Inventors.  It was amazing to see such confidence displayed from all of the children, you spoke very clearly and sang beautifully.  Miss Masters and Miss Mellor are incredibly proud of you all - keep up the hard work!

Thank you to all parents and carers for attending, and for leaving your lovely comments.  The children were really pleased you enjoyed it!
