This morning, Year 3 and Year 6 worked collaboratively to develop and deepen their understanding of problem solving in maths. The children had a great time and made new friends!

Today, the Year 3s worked with the Year 6s to solve some tricky maths challenges!

We had a great time and we learned a lot!

School council visit to The Mayor of Barnsley

The KS1 School Council members had a lovely time visiting Mayor Linda Burgess at Barnsley Town Hall. The Mayor gave the children a guided tour and conducted our question time in the chambers.

The owls - open day fun

We had a lovely afternoon looking at a space poem and making rockets!

Koalas- Parents Open Day - Chinese New Year Celebrations!

The Koalas Class have had a fantastic time this afternoon learning all about the Chinese New Year. They shared lots of interesting facts, found out about the story of the Chinese New Year and how it is celebrated, and then had a celebration of their own!

The children and their parents showed their creativity by designing and creating their unique and individual dragons, a very important symbol in the Chinese New Year.  Some children also created their own Chinese Lanterns.

We finished off our fun afternoon by taking part in our very own Chinese New Year Parade around the school field, showing the school our wonderful creations.

Thank you to all parents who attended for your help and support.  I really hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
