KS2 maths at lunchtime

Open Day - Year 2

Year 2 had a wonderful morning and journeyed through the Magic Mirror into the magical world of Cupcake Wood.  It was great to see their imaginative and descriptive language and we look forward to seeing their writing later this week.

In the afternoon, after reading and discussing the poem 'Triantiwontigongolope', the children had the opportunity to become inventors.  They used their knowledge of habitats, animals and food chains, and their creative minds to design and invent a new insect.  Here are some of their fantasmagorical creations!

It was lovely to see so many parents and carers throughout the day.  Thank you very much for your continued support.

Wowsers! What a lot of visitors!

We had lots of visitors to EYFS today when we opened our doors for the spring term Open Day! From joining in with creative tasks to reading stories in the carpet areas, our parents and grandparents really had a busy morning experiencing life in EYFS through their children's eyes! 

Mrs Dougal was kept busy with parents who came to her numicon workshop and drop in sessions. It's a fantastic way to support your child's maths learning! 

Year 1/2 Team Relays

Well done to our fabulous teams of year 1 and 2 children who took part in the team relays event tonight at Penistone Grammar School. 

The 3 teams worked extremely hard at the different team events and showed true team spirit and sportsmanship. Well done everyone! 

Spring term clubs at KS2

Pupils are rewarded for good behaviour at KS2 with 30 minutes in a club of their choice on a Friday afternoon. 

This term we have Lego, drama, Karate, craft, photography, homecrafts and film club.
